Separate the outdoor cooking/BBQ area from the dining area by dividing the space visually with the colors, orientation and shapes of the slabs. Be sure there’s enough space to easily move around. Should you go with wood, gas or ethanol-burning? The right fire- place depends on space, budget, use and aesthetics. Awood-burn- ing fireplace gives steady heat and a generous flame. You can im- press your guests by adding a cooking surface! It’s best to use ecological logs to reduce pollution. A gas fireplace is easy to use while providing a refined, modern look. Built-in or stand-alone, it provides a superbly fashionable fine line of flame. An ethanol fire- place emanates very little heat. It is often integrated into a table or a decorative item. It can be moved, but requires frequent refilling.
